This policy explains how Devon Aeroworks ("we", "us") collects and uses personal information when you use this website, ask for a quote or use our services. Devon Aeroworks is the data controller for this information.

What we collect
- Quote and contact details: your name, email address, phone number, company name, property address, and the details you give us about your solar system or building.
- Job records: quotes, invoices, payment records, site assessments, risk assessments and cleaning or inspection reports.
- Drone imagery: photographs, video and thermal images of the property we've been asked to clean or inspect.
- Technical information: when you send the quote form, our web server records your IP address to help prevent spam and abuse.
How we use it
- To prepare and send your quote, and to contact you about it. This is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract.
- To carry out and record the work, invoice you and keep business and tax records. This is necessary for our contract with you and to meet our legal obligations.
- To remind you when your next clean is due, if you're an existing customer. This is in our legitimate interests, and you can ask us to stop at any time.
We don't sell your information and we don't use it for unrelated marketing.
Drone imagery
We plan every flight to capture only the property we've been asked to work on. We take reasonable steps to avoid recording people, vehicles or neighbouring properties in identifiable detail, and we delete unnecessary footage. We will only use photos of your property in our marketing with your permission.
Who we share it with
We use trusted providers to run our business, such as our website and email host, accounting software and cloud storage. They only process your information on our instructions. We may share reports with your installer or contractor if you ask us to, and we will disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Quote requests that don't go ahead: up to 12 months.
- Customer, job and financial records: 6 years after the end of the tax year, as required by HMRC.
- Drone imagery: for as long as needed to provide your report and support any warranty or insurance questions, normally up to 6 years, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
Cookies
This website does not use cookies or tracking tools. Fonts and all other files are served from our own web space.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to how we use it, or receive a copy to pass to someone else. Email us to make a request. We'll respond within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please contact us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Keeping it secure
We store records in password-protected systems with access limited to people who need it, and we review our security as the business grows.
